At Mt. Airy Pediatrics, P.C., we are strong advocates for the effectiveness and safety of vaccines. We recommend that all children and young adults adhere to the vaccination schedule published by the CDC and the American Academy of Pediatrics.
We recognize that the decision to vaccinate can be challenging for some parents. Our physicians and nurse practitioners are available to help you make an informed decision and address any concerns you may have about the recommended schedule.
If your child is due for immunizations at an upcoming appointment and you have concerns, please contact your pediatrician or nurse practitioner ahead of time via the Patient Portal. To respect the time of all our patients, we cannot extend appointments to discuss vaccine concerns. However, you can schedule a separate appointment for this purpose, which may require additional copays.
